Creative Journaling for Illustration

Matías taught me a lot about letting go of perfectionism, the thing that can keep me from starting an illustration. This course showed me that there is freedom in mistakes and there is joy in experimenting, exploring, and playing with different media, techniques, and styles. Ultimately, this course describes the process of finding your own illustrative language.

I loved Mattias's course and would totally recommend it. He shows his process with patience and detail and it is great to see his work "up close". I also loved his playful way of dealing with creation and the way he shares his journey.

Ótimo curso, com mto conteúdo e objetividade!

I love this course! I like Matias's approach to creating. His method has no rigid structures it's free and playful. It allows me to feel like a child again, with room for experimenting and no limitations. I find his approach super relaxing. If you think you can't draw/paint, this course is for you.

Matias takes you through a number of different creativity exercises with great detail and I will definitely be taking on some of these in my own art practice. Matias is also very generous with all his shared resources, and I loved seeing the different artists who inspired him. My only disappointment would be that some of the English subtitles were quite confusing in some areas, making it hard to fully understand what Matias was trying to teach. Luckily I could still follow most of the course.

He visto todas las lecciones muy atentamente y aunque no he comenzado con mis libretas madre usando las recomendaciones de Matías, siento que es uno de los cursos más bonitos de Domestika. Lamento mucho que no haga parte de los Top Ventas. A veces cuando hay tanto contenido quedan refundidas estar perlas que aportan, con dulzura y claridad, tanta inspiración y tranquilidad para quienes comienzan sus caminos creativos. Gracias Matías, me encantó descubrirte.

This was a fantastic course, a great reminder to observe and be mindful of our surroundings for inspiration and take that back to illustrating freely.

I love how Matias uses his natural and child like imagination to create beautiful images filled with play and colour and energy. He inspires me with his sense of sense of fun as well as well as his methodical approach to understanding your own artistic language. Thank you, Matias!
