Creative Drawing with Oil Pastels

Completely new media for me - great introduction to oil pastels.

I thoroughly enjoyed this course. The teachers did a great job and I had fun working with oil pastel and colored pencil. I know I will use the techniques I learned in this class over and over again. Thank you.

a great intro to oil and colored pencil! thanks for the exercises to see how pressure can make a difference in color gradience. Also, blind sketching was a great technique to jump-start any project.

O curso é bem explicativo, as atividades são fáceis de serem desenvolvidas e ativa muito o lado criativo.

Esse curso me trouxe memórias muito vivas da infância quando brincava com giz e observava atentamente meu entorno. poder retornar a essas memórias de maneira consciente através desses ensinamentos foi muito precioso!

Gostei muito de aprender mais sobre como usar giz pastel oleoso, como as cores podem interagir.

Es un proyecto divertido da varios principios de dibujo aunque no entra mucho en la técnica del pastel más allá de aplicar el color. Si quiere pasar una tarde dibujando con esta técnica este curso es para usted

Fun course on oil pastel (for bigger surfaces) in combination with colored pencil (for details). I never thought of combining the two, so this was new and interesting to me. I thought it was a solid course, but if you already have experience with oil pastel, it might be too basic. Instead of oil pastels, you can also use wax pastels, which are less messy (oil pastel never dries, it stays sticky, and oil can seep through the paper if it's not thick enough). Great for beginners, and even kids.

Not exactly what I expected as oil pastel are mostly used to paint background and almost all details are drawed with colour pencils. but I give the course thumbs up anyway as it make me try new medium.
