About the final project for: Prototype and UX Design for E-Commerce Apps

UX: prototyping and designing an e-commerce app

“We've done it! It's the end... or the beginning ☺ In this new version of my Axure course I wanted, as always, to develop with you a project from start to finish that would be the result of a (almost) complete interface design process, in this case, an online store App. You have already seen my process, which are the sites where I look for material, my favorite tools... That said, here I leave you with the steps I followed to make my final project. 1 We will start by designing the welcome page of the store where the user chooses the language in which he wants to browse the store.

2 Then we will continue with the home of the app that we will be adjusting and debugging in several lessons until completing it with a carousel, a highlight area, a pop-up window for newsletter subscription and a side menu!
3. We will continue with the list of products. We will learn how to create simulated data tables that will look real. To do this we will use the repeaters that we will even paginate to navigate between the records in a realistic way.
4. This is how it will look in the browser, with its filters and promotional stickers.
5. We will continue with the product sheet, we will design it in detail, as you can see in many electronic stores.
6. We will program a fully functional cart, although the products we add will not be the same as the ones in the files, but we will be able to see the same number of products and the simulation will be very effective.
7. We will close the purchase with the checkout page, where the buyer enters his data to proceed with the payment.
What we can see up here in a preview. And if you want to see the project working you can do it at this web address From here, it is important to remember that the tool is not the discipline, that is, mastering Axure does not imply mastering user experience design at all. There is a very broad and eclectic knowledge behind a UX process. From research, where we observe the people and the environments in which they move, we ask the people in charge in the companies about their businesses and we analyze what the competitors do and what is fashionable (and will happen or stay) in the specific area we are working for. Going through some psychology bases that will help us to understand more about learning, taking editions, attention, motivation, memory, emotions... And ending with design as an integrative discipline to plan the construction of anything. I always say that the basic ingredients of my profession are four: curiosity to be constantly learning, the ability to observe to see and understand what is important, humility to approach problems knowing that you can make mistakes and that this is not necessarily bad and the perseverance to persevere in the search for solutions and face continuous improvement processes. ”

“Final project We have reached the end of the course, we will summarize what we have seen. At the beginning we reviewed the Axure interface. I told you the elements that you would use recurrently one by one so that you will remember them in the later exercise. The purpose of this introduction was to familiarize yourself with the components of the program, from the simple to the complicated. So we gradually introduced the widgets, from basic forms to forms, where you would see your first programming. Of the interaction styles, the easiest to schedule an event that reacted to user actions, we ...”
