“Color planning and preparation In this lesson we'll plan and prepare the colors. Generally, when I plan a character, I tend to take the sketch I used to cover the watercolor paper to kind of test the colors. What I do is establish what part of my illustration will have such or such color the same way that I did the watercolor techniques. So for example, here I'd like the pants to be blue. Even though at the start, we defined a structure of keywords, I want it to be coherent with the vintage. I'd like my pants to be blue to try to represent old worn jeans.
