A course by Iván Caíña , Artist, Graphic Designer, and Teacher
About the video: Sketch Transfer and Choice of Materials
Overview
“You already have your finished sketch, you have taken measures to fit it on the back of your jacket, you have designed it using the calligraphy technique as a base and you have refined it using lettering as a resource to make it perfect, so all that remains is transfer it to the jacket. In this lesson I will teach you to bring the sketch to the garment in a simple way through a transfer with tracing paper of a color that makes a good contrast with the color of the jacket. Once placed, you will fix it with masking tape so that it does not move, in this way you will establish some guides so that later it is very easy to paint it. Once the design is fixed to the garment as guides, you will learn to select the best materials to paint the jacket, as well as to prepare the paint in case you want to use a brush. This lesson is very important, since a bad choice of material, as well as an incorrect preparation of the paint, can ruin all your previous work. For this reason, I recommend paying close attention so that afterwards everything flows creatively. ”

We also need a pencil with the tip a little worn so as not to tear the paper and tape that can be paper, bodybuilder or of this type to secure th...”
