“Adding Detail & Depth with Shading One of the key parts of a mandala is repetition and we're doing a lot of repetition as we go around naturally, but another nice way to use repetition is to use an element that you've already used somewhere else, so that it continues and it becomes a cohesive design. We did that stippling gradient shading in the centre, so I'll use that again and do some shading here with the same kind of design.
