Introduction to Children’s Illustration

I've taken many online courses, and this one was great to watch. Just the perfect length and volume of content, not too overwhelming, very clear and inspiring. Highly recommend this to anyone who loves drawing and mixed media and wants to learn more about the entire process of developing and creating illustrations.

El curso es buenísimo, muy útil para descubrir nuevas técnicas artísticas o cómo aplicarlas junto con la imaginación y pensar en cómo poder llevar a cabo un relato a través de la metáfora visual. La pasión que pone el profesor Adolfo Serra hacia su profesión y su gran calidad como artista sumado a sus consejos hacen que parezca fácil poder crear verdaderas obras de arte. Totalmente recomendable.

Gostei muito do curso de Ilustração Infantil, de Adolfo Serra. Estou trabalhando nas três ilustrações solicitadas. Estou indo devagar porque não tenho muito tempo, mas eles estão marchando. As indicações de Serra são muito boas, claras, precisas e de grande valor para quem queremos ilustrar. Ele também é um excelente ilustrador. Eu recomendo este curso.

I am really, really enjoying this course. It’s fascinating, thought-provoking and inspiring. I feel so incredibly prepared to attempt my first children’s book illustration - I’m already an arty person, but I’ve never tried illustration before - I was offered an illustration job, but needed a bit of confidence before I could accept it. This has been the perfect impetus. What a lovely, clear-speaking teacher, and a well-structured course. Thank you!

I've been searching for a course like this for so long. It is clear and full of advice and guidance that helped me see how to take an idea through to finished illustration. I've learned it is ok to want to illustrate in different mediums - to not be overwhelmed by that and that my style lies within my interpretations and not my choice of tools.

Absolutely loved this course. He explains in details different illustration techniques. Smooth tone of voice makes it even more enjoyable. Looking forward to start my first illustration.
