About the video: Influences

Overview

“In this lesson, I will show you the work of two Latin American female designers whose work is marked by positive values that can be taken as examples of how design can have a positive impact on society on a larger scale. Lina and Clara have carefully produced, designed, and contextualized projects that are redefining the role of the designer in society. We will also see the work of Mexico City-based artist Francis Alys. Although he is not a designer, his observation-based practice can extend our understanding of the material environment, taking as reference informal activity to learn about the city, its spaces, and how people connect. ”

In this video lesson Fabien Cappello addresses the topic: Influences, which is part of the Domestika online course: Furniture Design: Make a Wooden Lamp. Light up your home by creating a versatile lighting accessory through resourceful woodworking techniques..
