Meet Victoria and hear about how she got started in photography and how she fell in love with portraits. See some of her main influences and projects from other industry professionals that inspire her work.

In the second unit, cover key concepts for preparing a photoshoot including visual references, photography equipment, and natural light.

Then, Victoria shares some tips on how to get organized before the shoot and shows you some exercises to help you become familiar with the camera so you can let your creativity flow freely. Now it’s time to shoot three types of portraits.

To finish the course, learn how to select the final images by analyzing details to guide your decisions and identifying what aspects to edit in each one. Victoria also gives you some parting advice to help you improve as a photographer.

Victoria Holguin is a Columbian photographer with more than 10 years of industry experience; she combines her professional work, specialized in documentary and portrait photography, with personal projects, primarily focused on topics related to gender and feminism. She is also the Fujifilm ambassador in Columbia.

In 2013, she founded the Fotomeraki project, an initiative aimed at showcasing and promoting the best contemporary photography from Columbia at both a national and international level. In 2018, she founded the Rio photography agency with fellow photographer Daniella Benedetti. Throughout her career, her work has been showcased in Bogotá, Braga, and Los Angeles, and has been published in Vice, Vive Latam, Excelente Iberia, Emotion Magazine, and Travesías to name a few.
