“Okay, so now that the slab has dried for about an hour, It's a little bit more hard, so it's not warping when I pick it up under my fingers. So I'm going to turn it over and then do the same thing with the ribs. I need to smooth this side because we've got the texture. This time I'm pushing a little bit harder than I was before because the clay is not as soft. So now that we've got a nice smooth, pretty hard slab, we're going to cut two parallel lines just to one side of the slab and the other side we're going to use as the base. So these parallel lines are going to make the wall of the pot...”
