About the final project for: 3D Modeling for Advertising with Cinema 4D and OctaneRender

3D Modeling for Advertising with Cinema 4D and OctaneRender

“We have reached the end of the course. Thank you so much for joining this course. I hope you will learn a lot from this course and it will be enough to bring you to the next level. I cannot wait to see all of the cool creations that you will make. Please, be patient when it comes to receiving feedback, these are complicated times, and I not always available. However, I will make my best to get back to you as soon as possible. To make the project, it is important to get a clear idea and to have the required hardware and software. Brainstorming will help find a clear idea. Once we get the idea, we can start to practice our skills on the application or the media that we wanted to use. The more we practice the easier for us to bring our idea alive. In Cinema 4D, we can start the practice by making a different kind of composition, lighting, or perspective from basic geometries or splines. Understanding the basic tools and being comfortable moving in the Cinema 4D viewport will make the project easier to manage. We also need to organize well our project to be able to work efficiently. Please, take your time to make the project to get something beautiful. Here are some examples that we can use to make a different kind of projects; -A sushi festival in Hong Kong. -A Jazz concert in New York. -An elephant race in India. The first thing we did, was to find the idea. When the idea was clear, we started to study and to choose the elements that we needed from that Idea. In this case, we searched images that are related to the "CUBA SUMMER MUSIC FESTIVAL" (Cuba's building images, typical Cuba's car images, guitar, trumpet images, etc.) We also collected the image references for the compositions and colour that we liked. From here, we started to make a rough sketch of our own composition. When the rough sketch was done, we went to Cinema 4D and started to block the composition. The idea of the blocking was to try different kinds of compositions with basic shapes of the objects. When the blocking phase was done, we moved on to the modelling part. In this phase, it was important to check all of the image references. We modelled the building of Cuba coloured buildings, the capitol’s building, the typical car from Cuba, guitar, palm, and the product (in this case, the speaker). In the end, we replaced all of the blocking objects with the modelled objects. With the adjusted camera and lighting, the visual was ready to go to the final render. We made the render settings and saved the rendered image. In the final part, we had to make adjustments for the final visual.

Now it is time for you to show what you came up with. I am looking forward to seeing your creation. Again, be active on the forum and participate in conversations with the other students. I think that giving and receiving feedback is essential to growing as an artist.”

“Final Project We have reached the end of this Domestika course. I hope I've taught you everything you need to know to share in your project your vision of the world using 3D tools. Before parting ways, I would like to go through the steps that we have taken together to help you develop your final project. We first started by learning the basic interface of Cinema 4D. We learned how to create a basic geometry, rotate it, scale it, move it, play with all the attributes. After, we learn how to do the 3D basic modeling, working with geometry, spline, and basic MoGraph. Then we learned everythin...”
