Very interesting course, and really helped me to learn how to sketch a city scape, still life, and just find inspiration around me. Lapin also is very encouraging about helping us find our own style, which is a great release for my art to develop.

This course is so inspiring! I enjoy listening to Labin, specially the dark February evenings have been fun and entertaining. Since having started working/experimenting with water colors and the lovely guidance of my new teacher, my view on perspectives and landscapes, skylines and colors has changed soooo much! Thank you for the inspiration. The other big advantege is that I can practice in me own rythm, as and how I like, from home, at any time of the day or at night.

Lapin is enthusiastic storyteller. He motivates you to start sketching and experience the moment and capture the personality of the area you are sketching. I appreciated his emphasis of not striving for perfection. His lesson on prospective with spheres and cylinder gave me fresh ideas. I will add another lesson on Architectual Sketching with watercolor as I would like more info on the actual details and basics of sketching. I would recommend taking Lapins course first.

I too would say this is not a beginner course. It's fascinating how he builds his scene but I need more detail (as a beginner). It is still a valuable course however.

It’s fascinating and motivating to watch the development of these little art works - clearly an intuitive artist of great skill. However, other than showing you his method and watching him build sketches he doesn’t explain at all the process of how to develop the necessary skills. For example he is very rigid in drawing directly with a pen — assuming that the learner already has the necessary drawing competence to do the same. I don’t think it’s a great course for a beginner.
