About the final project for: Photo Embroidery on Fabric

Embroidery in photographs on fabric

“We have reached the end of the course. I hope you enjoyed all the content and that it helps you to start creating your own embroidery projects! Next, I am going to review the different phases that I have followed to develop my final project: transfer First, I have transferred a photograph using the transfer paper technique with the help of an iron.

Fund transfer Afterwards, I transferred a background design with botanical and geometric motifs using a light table and a heat erasable pen.
Embroidering the photograph Next, I have embroidered the clothes and accessories in the photo with flat stitches.
Stage embroidery Afterwards, I have used raised points and flat points to embroider the palm trees, the chair and the geometric floor.
Frame To finish, I have finished the frame from behind with the help of a textile glue and cardboard.
Now it's your turn, share your final project with all of us by clicking on "Create your project". As I have done up here, remember to share both the final result and the steps that have led you to it. I invite you to create your own final project looking for what inspires you, both with regard to photography and the color palette, and to try to find your own style. To do this, you just have to ask yourself what are your sources of inspiration (cinema, nature, botany, fashion, photography or anything that makes you enjoy) and what draws you to them. I hope you enjoy the whole process very much, I have loved creating this course, I am looking forward to seeing all your projects! I will be in the forum to help you with all the doubts that arise. Be patient if it takes a while to respond, it is probably because I will be working (embroidering hahaha), but I will clarify all your doubts as far as possible. I also invite you to advise your colleagues on things in which you can help them, surely between all of us we create a beautiful and enriching embroidery community :) See you soon! ”

“Final project The course is finished. I hope you enjoyed it all. I'll go over the process we followed for you to create your own project and find your own personal style. I first showed you the materials and tools needed to transfer images onto fabric and to learn embroidery. We did two types of samplers, one with flat stitches, one with embossed stitches. With these two samples, you'll learn to combine textures and pass them onto the frame with a photo. I then showed you how to adapt a photo to use it on a hoop or rectangular frame. That step is important, as not all photos adapt to all ho...”
