About the final project for: Digital Sketchbook: Awaken Your Creativity

Digital sketchbook: awaken your creativity

“We have reached the end of the course. I hope you have drawn a lot and that you had a lot more fun. My idea at all times has been to transmit my day to day and my routines, both at a “just for fun” kind of way and also at a more professional level. As an illustrator, the most important thing is perseverance, patience and always trying to be learning. That is why I have wanted to place special emphasis on discovering and enhancing our strengths, trying to correct or improve what resists us, gain confidence in the line and look for our speech or our imagination and the way we see things. In this way we can gradually consolidate our own style, find and know how to come up with an idea when illustrating a text, think about how we do it by playing with narrative and composition ... in short, knowing how to tell little stories with our drawings. Your final project Once you have good material to put together and tell your story, select your favorite drawings among all those you have been doing and compile them in a digital notebook. The notebook will reflect the work that you have carried out throughout the course and, in addition, it can serve as the basis for a possible portfolio. When putting together your notebook, remember to look for a story line that says a lot about you and your way of seeing the world. Order and edit your drawings in Photoshop and then, if you want, run them through Keynote to find a different presentation or export them in a PDF. In Unit 4 I have left you my finished PDF notebook, in case it serves as a reference.

Now share your final project with all of us by clicking on "Create your project". Remember to share both the final result of your notebook and the steps that have led you to it; the drawings you have made with each technique you have learned, the front and back covers, etc. It would be great if you showed an image of each of them and added a brief description about what you have done and why, also a brief explanation of the narrative thread that encompasses all the work that you have carried out in your notebook. Take it easy, I have proposed a lot of work and I want you to enjoy the processes so that I can get the most out of each one. Important: total FREESTYLE. Do not let yourself be conditioned by the notebook that I have made, it represents my way of seeing things and is only a reference. I will love to see your work. I invite you to share your progress in the forum and to participate by commenting on the work of other students. Surely the work of some will end up inspiring and generating new ideas for other students and solving many doubts. I ask for your patience, I will review the forum as much as I can and try to answer as much as possible, but freelance life is sometimes a bit stressful! A big hug! Fer ”

“Final project We have already reached the end of the Domestika course. I hope you had a lot of fun, that you have drawn a lot and that you will bring out your inner creative and wild side. Before we say goodbye, I want to remind you of a few key points. Let go, it doesn't matter if you work in digital, in Photoshop, Procreate or paper. Spend some time drawing every day to find your style and refine your stroke. We have worked in all ways, improvising, with references and texts. Remember the importance of the sketch and trial and error. Thanks to your mistakes, you will learn little by littl...”
