About the final project for: Creating Garments Using Crochet
Single Crochet: Creating Garments Using Only One Hook
“Without even realizing it, we have reached the end. If we do a little memory we will remember that in this course we have seen everything, it is full of quality content. So we are going to do a review so that you can, quickly, have an outline that helps you synthesize and strengthen your learning. First of all, I told you about my influences, with them I have learned to have a unique style without reproducing their creations, but rather finding my language and feeling unique in my own way. Later I proceeded to introduce you to the world of knitting, something that helped you not feel lost and gave you the necessary knowledge to gain autonomy when looking for the perfect materials. I told you about the materials that crocheters use the most, the tools we use to reproduce our projects, and I gave you some basic tips so that the creation moment was perfect: how to take the needle, what is a sample or how to take measurements yourself. Once I entered our world, we began to know the basic stitches of crochet , to later discover from my hand the variations that we must make to achieve the textures that imitate the knitting of the two needles. Once we had all this content internalized, we decided to jump into the pool and we began to weave our project together. To do this, I showed you how to read a pattern. In this way and following the explanations of the pattern, we begin to knit the back of our sweater to continue with the front and then the sleeves. With which you learned the technique of colorwork. Finally, we learned how to give our sweater a perfect finish with invisible seams on the sides, shoulders and sleeves. To finish off the piece with a collar worth praising and still little seen in our world of crochet . Do not forget that in the resources and attached documents I have small treasures stored for you, such as quick guides for care, blocking and adaptations. Thanks to them you can feel prepared to create your own projects different from mine. I encourage you to create different projects with different strands and different colors. So you can surprise yourself with summer shirts, tunics for the beach or mountain vests. From this basic pattern you can imagine endless possibilities. Whatever season it is, don't just stick with one design. Make everything you imagine possible and show us your progress on the forum or through Instagram with photos and the hashtag #AlimaravillasDMSTK I have created this course to be our loop in some way. That place where we will always feel that we start our story over and over again. For this reason, I invite you to start over creating a new and different piece each time you finish a piece. You will discover that your learning is enhanced and that all the content that I have reflected here is alive and adapts perfectly to the level of learning you are at. Do not forget that I will always be aware of you in the forum and that I will follow all your progress by your side. You just have to ask any questions that arise or create a community by making your colleagues participate in your learning, nothing would make me more excited. Remember that apart from crocheting and designing, I am the director and teacher of a beautiful school based in the mountains of Huelva and that I have a beautiful family to attend to. For that reason, it may sometimes take a few days to reply, but I promise I always will. Sometimes that time it takes me to respond is the time you needed to create your own meaningful learning that led to the answer. That is magic! ”
