“Paint, sketchbook ... action! It's now time to start painting, so let's start with a simple exercise. I think it's very important to do it, as we will discover different textures and gouache behaviors, as it's so versatile that it's important to stop a moment to understand it better. We'll start working with black only, as it's the most simple version. We can do many things with just one color. Apply it to the palette, and take a brush. I'd like to get a very dry texture, so I'll dry the brush as much as I can and not add water to the paint on the palette. So just wetting it, even drying it...”

Maru Godàs studied graphic design at the IDEP school and at the Llotja de Barcelona.
