“Getting Your Grip In this lesson, I'll take you through getting your grip and how you hold your yarn in your hook. It's one of the most important things in crochet and the hardest thing to get used to at the beginning. I'm using some Aran weight yarn and a 4.5 mm hook. If you're new to crochet, I recommend using an Aran weight or a chunkier yarn, because it's much easier to start using when you're holding your yarn and getting used to the chain stitch, which I'll be introducing.
