“Change media: the mockup and the 1: 1 shot In furniture design it is common to use scale models to understand the dimensions of the design. In this lesson I will share with you some of these models I did for the Camellia design. Normally, I use the mockups for an internal purpose as part of the design process and I am not so concerned with the appearance of the models. They are quick exercises, like sketching, that help me understand more details of the design. In the case of Camelia, I decided to use 20 gauge wire because it lent itself to the scale of the design.
