“Making the concertina guard and binding as a map Let's get started with the binding. Remember that the back cover, the one with the magnets, is the one we put onto the fabric. Apply the glue from the inside, outwards. The other way round, you might lift the fabric and stain it. You don't need too much. It's binding glue, not wood glue, which is less water-based, so if you can buy book glue, great. I've put a paper base sheet down which I'll remove when I do the covers.
