“Finishing Your Piece Now that you've completed the punching of your piece, it's time to take a look at the front, begin to clean it up, and finish the back. On the front of your punched piece, you should now see a bunch of little tails sticking up. Depending on how complex your design is, your front might look very messy at this stage. Don't worry, that's completely normal, that's exactly what this step, cleaning up, is for.
