Cartoon-Style Character Design with Procreate

I've joined this course because of Ed Vill's retro cartoon style. For someone who knows a little bit of Procreate, this course doesn't bring something new. For people who don't have any knowledge about Procreate it will help a little bit. Overall it's ok, but not something special. My main complaints are with Ed's brushes. Ed's using custom purchased brushes/grains which aren't available in Procreate for free. Yes, there are plenty of brushes in Procreate. I know that.

Although I don’t speak the language I turned down the sound and read the sub titles enabling me to totally understand the content. I would have liked to go further with the other 3 images provided.

Great human, great cartoonist, great course!

As always Ed Vill doesn’t disappoint. This course is a great complement to the other one. I especially loved all the projects created using the illustration and to see the brainstorming session at the beginning.

Very good and interesting course, I really enjoyed it. Only disappointment is that you need apple pencil for the course which is quite expensive. Will try without it. And it is very difficult to read subtitles and watch drawing in progress. During the course I realized I will have to attend the other Ad Vill course Introduction to the Creation of Cartoon Style Characters to be able to put the information from this course in practice.

This is the second course of Ed Vill’s that I’ve taken here at Domestika. As far as retro-style cartooning, it doesn’t get any better than this - and with Procreate as well. Five-stars for all skill levels.
