3D Architectural Design and Modeling with Revit
Design of ramps and components
A course by Arturo Bustíos Casanova , Architect
About the video: Design of ramps and components
Overview
“In this lesson you will learn how to model the ramp of the “DOM” house to be able to apply it in your future projects. I will teach you once again how to choose the correct commands to define important decisions such as thickness, materials and their separation from the floor.”
In this video lesson Arturo Bustíos Casanova addresses the topic: Design of ramps and components, which is part of the Domestika online course: 3D Architectural Design and Modeling with Revit. Create an orthogonal plan of a home step by step using BIM (Building Information Modelling) methodology.
Partial transcription of the video
“Designing Ramps Now, it's time to model the ramp and its components. This is what we'll do. If you look here, we have a slight difference between the floor in Level 1 and the natural ground level. If we look here, we have a difference of 30 centimeters when we created the levels. We'll make a ramp that gets to this level. How do we do that? Like this. We go to Level 1 and we create a floor. We have our floor. We'll give it a different finish. Since it's outdoors, we could look for a stone finish. Let's look for one. For example, this one. Granite, we Upload and use this material. OK. Apply....”
