About the final project for: Illustrated Stories: From Idea to Paper

Illustrated Stories: From Idea to Paper

“If you are watching this video, it is because you have reached the end of this course. Congratulations! I am very happy to have been able to show you my creative process and teach you to illustrate from a text or concept. Remember that drawing is a space of absolute freedom where you can try, experiment and make mistakes as many times as necessary. Next, we are going to review the different steps to follow to develop your final project: 1. Exercises to work on your style, we think of an idea and generate a first sketch.

2. Assemble the sketch and deliver the necessary elements. We transferred it to the watercolor paper with the help of a light table.
3. With the drawing ready, we apply a first layer of gray and continue with the cold colors represented in different shades of blue. Then it was the turn of the warm colors, that is, red and orange.
4. Once the watercolors are ready, we use the black ink pencil to give contrast to our illustration, a finish?
5. Next came the white gel pencils to correct mistakes and give some points of light.
Now you are ready to create your illustration from text. I invite you to look for something that represents you or catches your attention. Play and take your imagination as far as possible. There is a world of possibilities out there. Apply all the stages of the process that I explained to you and share in the forum your final project with your process, your creation stages and of course, its final appearance! Thank you very much for taking this course. I hope it helps you to make your own works. And remember: don't let the "likes" dominate your life. For my part it has been a pleasure. Show me your progress and write your doubts in the forum, I will review them as far as possible. Enjoy the process, discover your tastes and work on your style. See you! ”
