This book is a compilation of her work. It was published by the New York Public Library. Anna Atkins was born in 1799, in England. She's considered one of the first female photographers. She used a technique known as cyanotype. It's a photographic procedure invented in 1842 by Sir John Herschel. This technique produces a cyan print. Two chemicals are used for this.
