About the video: Watercolor! The First Wash

Overview

“In this lesson I will show my approach for laying down an initial wash of color. Using the wet on wet technique, I will show how to let the paint blend and mix on the page to create a brilliant and lively foundation. We will block in the large shapes and allow the paint to work for us. ”

In this video lesson Alex Hillkurtz addresses the topic: Watercolor! The First Wash, which is part of the Domestika online course: Architectural Sketching with Watercolor and Ink. Combine loose ink sketching with watercolor to create beautiful buildings that leap off the page.
