Architectural Sketching with Watercolor and Ink

Best intro to perspective drawing I have had — not just the how but the why. The composition tips were also very helpful. One part that didn’t work for me was the quick thumbnail and pencil sketches. For someone new to these techniques like me, spending just a few minutes and expecting an accurate approximation was too fast.

Alex is a really good teacher and this is a fantastic course - finally I understand how to create perspective! I feel braver about colour and am itching to get out and start painting.

Le cours d'Alex Hillkurtz est très bon. Plutôt pour débutant mais on peut en tirer parti même en étant plus avancé en le voyant travailler.
Le problème c'est la traduction française des sous-titres qui sont pleins d'erreurs: par exemple Burnt Sienna est traduit par terre de sienne au lien de Sienne brulée...

I haven't finished the course yet, but so far really great lesson on perspective with 2 vanishing points, and different ways to do water colour washes, and to mix colours. Fantastic for the price, I would definitely recommend.

This is a fantastic course about a super difficult topic...or at least it used to be very difficult for me! Alex, has broken down linear perspective into bite-sized pieces using examples to explain the process. He explains the techniques really well and gives outstanding tips to make it even easier. I can't praise this course highly enough!

To anyone who has ever struggled with perspective, this course is for you!

I would have like for the course to have had more practise exercises focused in the sketching, but overall I enjoyed it, the teacher clearly loves his trade and is very knowledgeable.
