Architectural Sketching with Watercolor and Ink

I really enjoy watching Alex complete the painting step by step and he explains his intentions. also, the sketchbooks which show the development of his style impressed me a lot.

Excellent course, Alex was very thorough and clear in his presentation . As well as providing lots of technical advice he was really helpful and encouraging in talking about working the process of the painting and the dialogue with the viewer. I also loved his encouragement about finding ones own personal voice and style, which for me meant this course stood out from the usual presentations by accomplished artists and added real value the viewer seeking to learn and develop. Alex is a gentle and articulate instructor. Besides enjoying the lessons immensely, I loved watching him work in real time. He is a true master and shares his expertise with patience and clarity. Watercolor is a very difficult medium to master but this is a great start for anyone who wants to get a solid foundation. He gives us some wonderful basics of perspective and techniques.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone who has always wanted to do travel and architectural sketching.

I really enjoyed this course. Alex is a talented painter and a good tutor issuing clear, precise and easily followed instructions. I found
his tips on thumbnail preparatory sketches and how to mix colours for shadows very informative and will use them in my urban sketches in future

More than anything I wanted to learn more about this style of watercolor and he introduced it very nicely. It is only a beginner's course.
