Architectural Sketching with Watercolor and Ink

I have painted with watercolor all my life but always look for tips from others. This class is perfect for the beginner or those more familiar with the medium. Very clear, great tips and tricks. Excellent!

Great course

Yes good course but if you are an experienced artist some of the content is very basic, but it is stated clearly that the level is for Beginner. Great for people who have little experience. The section where Alex shows the painting process of the final piece (Unit 4) is fabulous. For me this was the most interesting and useful part.

I greatly enjoyed the course "Architectural Sketching with Watercolor and Ink" by Alex Hillkurtz. He explains practical applications well while providing sufficient demonstration of exercises that we can practice in our own time. It was a lot of fun for me, and the exercises and final project certainly pushed me out of comfort zone. I will continue to practice to improve my watercolor skills! Thank you Alex!

Excellent course! I learned so much about perspective in architecture and how to set my painting up properly. I wish I would have found out about this course sooner. I love architecture and have tried to paint things I’ve photographed but it’s always turned out poorly. Alex’s instruction made me realize where I was going wrong. My only complaint is that there aren’t any follow up courses from Alex on Domestika!

This course has a good balance of content, including the information necessary for urban skectching, such as basics of watercolour, perspective, thumbnails, and the step by step method to finish a drawing in Alex Hillkurtz's style. He explains why he works the way he does, and provides all the information possible during the process.
I enjoyed the curse and learnt much about for example the different washes necessary to achieve the different effects that characterize his work

An excellent clearly explained course which gave me encouragement to pursue sketching with watercolours.
