Architectural Sketching with Watercolor and Ink

Most of the tools and methods described I already knew about (perspective, finding vanishing points, rule of thirds, etc) but I enjoyed and found useful watching Alex’s painting and construction techniques, so the course was beneficial to me and I would recommend it at the offer price (£7.90).

Clear instructions including thumbnails, sketches, ink, washes, gradually darkening shadows, details and framing. It was easy to follow and added to what I had learned in a master's program of illustration, which did not cover buildings, but reminders about perspectives helped as well as reminders to listen to the inner voice saying to stop. I have trouble ruining my work by doing too much rather than too little.

Got to learn a lot about prospective and drawing different architectural sites. Great painting and sketching techniques as well. Will definitely recommend this course. Highly detailed and simplified way of teaching.

The course is what I expected, just needs a better camera shots on how to do the washes, and an easier way to interact with the teacher, but other than that is what I need for my training

Ich fühlte mich fachlich kompetent beraten. Die einzelnen Unterrichtseinheiten waren gut eingeteilt.
Das gewählte Motiv(Gebäude in Paris) hat mich anfangs überwältigt. Später wurde mir die Auswahl jedoch klar. Viele Aspekte konnte man daran erklären.
Ich freue mich auf das Abschlussprojekt und stelle mich gerne der neuen Herausforderung. Posten kann ich mein „Werk“ nicht, da ich nicht bei Instergram bin.
Der Kurs hat mich auf jeden Fall weitergebracht.

This is the first course I’ve taken from Domestika and I was very impressed. It was broken down into logical segments and the instruction by Alex was very comprehensive and clear. Because I enjoyed this course so much I just bought another.

An excellent presentation! Alex's voice and gentle style is clear and easy to follow. The stages of making a watercolour progress in a logical manner. There is so much learning material without any stage being overly lengthy. I loved it all and learnt a lot! Thank you Alex!
