Architectural Sketching with Watercolor and Ink

A well-structured course that explains everything clearly and simply and inspires you to have a go. The advice goes beyond the standard stuff, with plenty of useful tips - for instance, I learnt new ways of finding the horizon line when you can't see it. I also properly understood the different ways of using watercolour for the first time.

This is a fantastic course, appropriate for a novice (like me!).

Ho acquistato questo corso per primo proprio perché tratta la tecnica che preferisco: inchiostro e acquerello. Non vedo l'ora di farla mia per ritrarre i miei scorci preferiti e le più belle vedute di Roma. I due colori che usa Hillkurtz per l'edificio sono molto caldi: il giallo/marrone e il grigio. Penso che siano adatti anche per la città di Roma.

Oh my goodness... Learned so much!!!! Thank you!! Total novice. Have been inspired by a lady I met where I worked. She is 97. Learned to paint after she was 60. I am 57. This course taught me so much. Specifically the lesson on your horizon and vanishing points. Great information. Can't wait to draw an architectural piece using pencil and water colors. Alex is an outstanding instructor and his unique approach was exactly what I was looking for. His film background and storyboard lens add so much to composition and creating a piece that is alive and tells a story. And he offered some really useful tips, It was the whole package! It's a good course

Alex est vraiment un bon enseignant. Très clair, avec une voix et un anglais agréable, il délivre, en plus des techniques de base, des astuces qui comptent et qu'il faut prendre au vol. J'ai beaucoup aimé. Le rythme est très agréable et en temps réel, c'est rassurant car le résultat est réaliste. Merci.

The course is beautifully produced from the technical side. Alex is a fantastic teacher - the course is dense with tips and advice yet nothing feels rushed or unexplained. Every step is shown by real-time example, reviewed and summarised. And so enjoyable!
