I love this measuring tape for what it means and I also appreciate it visually. and the way it scanned and the way I cut it out, it's something that we'll incorporate nicely into the collage, perhaps floating against the background and, thinking about text, I want to incorporate my text as part of the image, rather than having it look like a standalone quote, that's separate from the image, so I was looking for different texts that related to being a tailor, or a garment worker, and came across this quote by Ada Louise Huxtable, “Eve...”

Her work is in the permanent collection of the Library of Congress. She also teaches at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and hosts lectures and workshops at art schools internationally.
