Great course!! So much insight into how to get professional with portrait painting, where to look for inspiration, colour mixing tips. AJ is clear and concise and to the point. I got through the videos really quickly and I’m so happy I can watch it again. I like how the lesson can be adapted to Your photo inspiration, Your colours, Your style. He makes it look so easy, the process is simplified (because I like to complicate everything) and that gives me confidence as a painter!

Brilliant course, the explanations are very clear and give me confidence to get onto my next painting. The information given during colour mixing is invaluable, and the way the canvas is filmed up close helps understand the meaning between each brush stroke.

I enjoyed the course very much. The explanations and demonstrations were clear. To me, the most valuable knowledge was how to mix colors to get subtle gradations and how the artist thinks about light and space when making a choice on values. I highly recommend the course to you if you are interested in the flat brush technique and the plasticity of the impressionistic style.
