Artist Annie Weir shares a guide to practice hand lettering and calligraphy
Faux calligraphy is a hand lettering technique that imitates the final effect of calligraphy, by highlighting the visual appearance and contrast of fine and thick strokes. This is a great way to initiate yourself in calligraphy, since you’ll be noting the peculiarities of each letter.
Scottish artist Annie Weir (@a_journal_by_annie) has discovered in bullet journaling a space to express her love go lettering, illustration and art. Some of her work focuses on creating lettering to decorate her beautiful journal pages, as well as other applications.

Annie shares a practical guide so you can practice with faux calligraphy. You’ll need to copy each letter, paying attention to the lines. Of course, you can later develop your own style and draw each letter with your style.

To download this guide, just click on the box below. You’ll find a printable PDF file on your Downloads folder.
