Domestika Live Events in October 2026: Creativity, Inspiration, and Live Learning
Check out Domestika’s October “Lives” schedule and learn live alongside artists and professionals from various creative disciplines. This month, Domestika’s Lives return with live sessions where you can discover techniques, processes, and ideas from professionals in the creative community. Illustration, design, photography, crafts, creativity, and much more: each Live session is an opportunity to get an up-close look at an expert’s process, discover how they work, and gain new resources to apply to your own projects. And the best part is that you can do it from anywhere. Gather your materials, clear some time in your schedule, and discover all of Domestika’s live sessions for October 2026. Criteria in Food Styling, with Marcela Lovegrove | October 1 | 4:00 p.m. (MAD) In food styling, it’s not the tricks that matter most, but rather your judgment: what you’re looking for before you begin, how you learn to observe, and the decisions you make as you build an image. In this Live session, Marcela Lovegrove will draw on real photos and scenarios to show what goes through the mind of someone working in food styling: what to include, what to leave out, how to compose the shot, and the role that lighting, framing, and perspective play in every decision. Throughout the session, she’ll reinforce a central idea behind her work: food styling doesn’t exist in isolation—it exists for the camera, and that camera dictates what we do and how we do it. If you have any questions or specific scenarios you’d like to work on, please send them in before the live session so Marcela can address some of them during the session.
