Alex Venutelli

Alex Venutelli was born on April 9, 1990, in Agrigento (Sicily) and has led a varied and exciting life. He displayed a natural passion for art and drawing from an early age. At 14 years old, he moved to Palermo and started his artistic journey by joining the Art School where he completed his high school education in 2009/2010.
Despite his artistic inclination, Alex has always had a great interest in nature and its science. Following the completion of his art studies, he opted for an academic path and joined the University of Palermo to study Natural Sciences. In 2015, he completed his undergraduate degree, and in 2018, he graduated with a Master's degree. His passion for knowledge led him to explore the marvels of the natural world, enhancing his artistic viewpoint with a firm scientific foundation.
Notwithstanding his academic duties, Alex has always treasured his enthusiasm for drawing. In 2020, he made a significant career shift by declining a scholarship for a Ph.D. abroad and pursuing his heart's desire to enrol in a professional three-year course at the esteemed comics school (scuola del fumetto) in Palermo.
During this period, he primarily concentrated on studying character design, developing alluring environments, and examining concept art in general.
In 2023, Alex finished the course with a project on personal world-building.
Currently, Alex is an enthusiastic professional who is keen to leave a mark in the realm of concept art.
