After many years of uncertainty, I thought I found my calling when I faced a string of negative experiences online. A year later, while struggling through technical material, I decided it's time to choose passion over purpose. Instead of talking myself into a cybersecurity career I won't enjoy, I realized I have to listen to my gut and commit to a career path I really care about.
Considering my background as a self-taught web developer, my understanding of design, and passion for visual effects, I spent time doing research and landed on the fields of experimetnal animation and sound design. After completing a course on Art Direction & Design Leadership through a Domestika partner, I stumbled upon several creative coding courses and enrolled immediately.
As a designer, the ability to code is what makes me stand out from other designers. As a motion designer, it will open up a whole new world of additional media, such as the web, through which ideas can be expressed. I hope my ability to create unique animations with both software and creative coding techniques will make me a go-to partner for brands looking to craft custom experiences.
As I build my own professional identity, it has become abundantly clear that brand recognition is the most important goal of any business. As I work towards my goal of becoming a creative director, I'm looking forward to helping the world's best companies become even more iconic and memorable.
