Donna Garner

After 35 years in the UK NHS as an acute hospital nurse I retired early, moved to France and started to sell my art. I paint portraits and urban sketches in all media. I print my favourite images onto fabric and design patterns and use my textiles to machine embroider and sew work ware and home ware. As a self taught artist I studied in adult education Life Class for three years, and I have taken on line courses to improve my understanding of mixed media and to learn from fellow artists. I also learnt a lot from my son who graduated with a BA in graphic design from Hereford University in the UK.
