book redesign of Haruki Murakami’s novel «Kafka am Strand» - Kafka on the Shore

In order to support the reader following the alternating storylines visual variance was created by using different papers and typefaces. Focusing on haptic experience the cover connects the elements from the main location of the forest and the key scene of the shore in a minimalistic silkscreen artwork.
