Introduction
I've created a Design System for Verifile Limited. We didn't have one and design was off many times.

Supplies
I've used Figma and OpenAI.
Starting from scratch
As we're working on the second portal, and the team is small, we opted to reuse as many components as possible from the first portal. That portal had a list of layouts, but not a proper design system either, so that was challenging already. In this scenario, we've started to design layouts for the new portal, creating patterns and adapting themes, and then I started working on the Design System, from scratch.

A whole bunch of components
It started as a quite noisy bunch of components, with lots of variants, as designs went a bit ebb and flow, but we finally managed to find the light and start organising. Since this is a whole new portal, even with the components we have from the other portal and the library we're using - Mudblazor - there was a lot of design and UX work to do.

Sprint cleaning and organising
As we had a clear path ahead, it was possible to get rid of unnecessary components and variants, organise all the items I had in a logical way, and eventually get to a first version of the Design System. In order to do this, I've used not only Figma, but also OpenAI to help me sort out the information, make texts clear, even question myself about the logic of the system.
