Introduction

In this book cover design, I aimed to create a structure that conveys meaning from both sides. With a modern and contemporary approach, I wanted to create a design that would seamlessly combine both the Turkish and English versions of the text. By designing the cover to be double-sided, I employed a mirror form that allows for easy readability of both languages. This design choice symbolizes the equal importance and harmony of the two languages within the book's content.

As the main visual element, I used a colorful hummingbird that I drew with a Wacom tablet. The hummingbird represents the delicate and free spirit of nature, while the vibrant colors reflect the dynamic and energetic essence of the book. This visual not only captures attention but also serves as a key element in maintaining the overall balance of the design.

To maintain aesthetic balance, I incorporated a subtle geometric grid based on the golden ratio. The golden ratio is a proportion frequently found in nature and art, ensuring that visual elements are in harmonious alignment. This delicate grid contributes to the visual balance of the cover while adding an elegant refinement to the design. In this way, both sides of the cover are symmetrically aligned, creating both visual and theoretical equilibrium.

In this design, my goal was to represent the content of the book in the most effective way, both visually and functionally. The mirror form and the balance achieved through the golden ratio helped to strengthen both the visual aesthetics and the deeper meaning of the design.
