Tutorial: Barrel with bullet impacts

1 Make a superficial hole on the surface with a Hobby Hand Drill (A) and Matt Primer Black (B).

2 Stipple with Bluegrey Dusk first (A) and Grey Teal (B) after to create texture.

3 Final highlights stippling with Ivory Tusk (A) and shadows with a wash of diluted Scorched Brown (B).

4 Apply warm tones with Ember Orange on the holes and the horizontal bars of the barrel.

5 Put some light on the holes with Faded Orange as shown on the scheme and in thin lines on the bars.

6 Highlight the upper area of the holes and the bars with Slate Grey.

7 Outline the lower half of the hole’s edge with Fang White.

8 Draw some short and thin texture lines getting out of the holes with Fang White.

9 Finish the texture of the barrel drawing scattered thin lines with Fang White.
