Used masking fluid to avoid painting flowers

I used masking fluid on the leaf edges to avoid paintng in the wrong area. Tt made the background painting easier — Added more masking fluid and then second coat

I was able to tone down the mistake on the leaf in the lower left with white gouache — Details added

I used a graphite eraser to lift paint from the leaf edges and added another layer to the background — Second version

I did 4 paintings for the final project, the last two are included here. I did a mood board for the first one (not included here), but decided to just make up a simple design. I used Peacock Green mixed with Vermillion Hue, Cobalt Blue mixed with Alizarin Crimson, and Yellow. Painted on Hahnemuhle 100% cotton paper. I used masking fluid on the edges of flowers and leaves to assist with the background painting. It worked well even though it lifted some of the paint. I also used a graphite eraser to lift more from the leaves due to the second coat being too dark.
