My inspiration comes from many sources.
Art, Design, but also the natural world around us and the many beautiful cultures that have been around since the start of humanity. The space around me is very reflective of that and it is filled with plants, art, and small objects that in their turn all inspire me again.

I have chosen to base my patterns around microscopic life and images.
Bright colours, wonky shapes, interesting science, it will all be in there.

After looking over all the reference images I drew up some elements that I would be using in my pattern. I then scanned the images and printed them a couple of times so that i could cut them out and paste them on my paper to start creating my paper pattern.

I wasn't fully satisfied with the paper repeat pattern so I decided to jump straight into the digitalisation of it, so that I could adjust the layout more easily. I also tried out some background colours, but I didn't decide on a specific palette yet.
