A gnome in space - My project in Modern Watercolor Techniques course

Getting texture into watercolours with stuff available around the house: salt (coarse & fine), aceton & alcohol.
Tried washing-up liquid: no good, ruins the paper.
Ink: my sepia Chinese ink too old & dry, but with a bit of alcohol it was workable again.
White: acrylic (all shops closed during corona lockdown). Paper 150 grams bloc - a bit lightweight
To make a galaxy I invited a kind of Martian gnome, a fungus I recently spotted on a tree. She was prepared to go into space...
