Michael Tierney

With over 15 years of experience as a motion designer, I create bold, dynamic and engaging motion graphics and animations using Adobe After Effects and Cinema 4D. I’ve collaborated with global brands including Rolex, Rolls-Royce, HSBC, Microsoft, Samsung, Sony PlayStation, BT and EE, as well as innovative studios and agencies such as Squint Opera, VML, AKQA and Domestika.

My work spans 2D/3D motion design, social-first campaigns and data visualisation, always focused on making complex ideas accessible and visually striking. Alongside commercial work, I’m now expanding into responsible AI and ethics, applying design and storytelling to communicate emerging technologies with clarity and transparency.

In addition, I’ve shared my experience as a TED speaker and teacher, covering topics from design practice to time management and minimalism.
