My personal vision for Africa is an empowered youth who take an active role in the enhancement of human dignity, health equity, inclusiveness ,human rights and protection of the poor and disadvantaged communities.this will lead to a full realisation of potential of the poor and hindrance on account of poverty, poor education, drug and substance abuse parental background and other environmental constraints.

for the past 3 years i worked with street children at The Dagoretti Child in Need Project, it is one such initiative and it is focused on the children with its goal being to uphold, protect and promote the rights of Street Children. Project objectives :Rescue, Rehabilitate, Re-socialise and Reintegrate abandoned and Vulnerable Children back into the Family and the Community.

Working in the project as a video tutor for community youths aged below 35 years ,we used a participatory methodology called participatory video where the idea behind this is that making a video is easy and accessible, and is a great way of bringing people together to explore issues, voice concerns or simply to be creative and tell stories. This process can be very empowering, enabling a group or community to take their own action to solve their own problems, and also to communicate their needs and ideas to decision-makers and/or other groups and communities. As such, PV can be a highly effective tool to engage and mobilise marginalised people, and to help them to implement their own forms of sustainable development based on local needs.
