This is my first "solo" bird. I should have eliminated the dark branch underneath the bird - was trying to follow the photo. Still trying to get the feather effect without drawing in specific feathers...am trying to "loosen up" my paintings. Probably should have just avoided the background and put him on a single branch. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and have never tried to paint birds before.

    C'est vraiment magnifique et je pense que le fond fonctionne très bien. Il y a tellement de choses que j'aime dans ce tableau: les fleurs lâches, les tons intéressants sur le ventre et la façon dont le rose se fond dans le ciel bleu derrière. Vraiment bien fait! Je suis ravi que vous ayez apprécié le cours et merci de votre participation!
