My project for course: Introduction to Clay Figurative Sculpture

I had not done any sculpting for almost 15 years, so when I saw this class I was excited to give it a try again. When I was originally taught how to sculpt the human face, it was created on an armature and later cast. I really enjoyed learning how to make this sculpture using slabs. I am signed up for a class that teaches how to make a clay portrait. I am looking forward to attempting that this summer. My hope is to make sculptures that resemble my children at some point.
