Hola mi nombre es Áurea, soy diseñadora y escritora; y me dedico a hacer talleres de formación artísticos.

Colecciono momentos que rescato de mis paseos por el campo y los reflejo en mis ilustraciones, sencillas y bellamente imperfectas que llegan al corazón, wabi sabi.

El estrés cotidiano hace que no nos fijemos en los pequeños detalles, que pasan desapercibidos en universos ajenos a nuestro egoísmo: Un amanecer brumoso, los destellos que se forman en el rocío a primera hora de la mañana, el canto de los pájaros y las cigarras, como van desapareciendo las sombras y surgen los colores ante los destellos que se forman al salir el sol por el este…

Con mis ilustraciones, hechas desde mi estudio de Barcelona, sentirás como la naturaleza te susurra secretos maravillosos.

El denominador común de mis ilustraciones es el uso de materiales de primera calidad y tradicionales como son la tinta artesana, los pinceles de bambú y el papel washi .

Este tipo de materiales hacen que cada obra de arte sea única ya que tanto los pinceles, como la tinta y el papel son imperfectos y la absorbencia de determinados papeles washi hace que surjan efectos inesperados. Esto me permite adquirir diferentes calidades de grises, Suibokuga pintura monocromática japonesa, y diferentes trazos de pincel desde los más secos y duros, a los más húmedos y suaves.

I collect moments that I rescue from my walks in the countryside and I reflect them in my illustrations, simple and beautifully imperfect details that captivate the heart, wabi sabi.

Everyday stress makes us not pay attention to the small details, which they go unnoticed out of our egoism:

A misty sunrise, the sparkles that forms in the dew in the early morning, the singing of birds and cicadas, and look like shadows disappear and colors emerge before the gleams that form when the sun rises in the east …

With my illustrations made from my studio in Barcelona, you will feel how nature whispers wonderful secrets to you.

The common denominator of my illustrations is the use of premium and traditional materials such as artisan grinding ink, bamboo brushes and washi paper.

These types of materials make each picture of art unique with imperfect ink, imperfect paper and imperfect bamboo brushes.

Traditional ink bring me unexpected effect, this allows me to acquire different qualities of grays. Suibokuga or sumi-e is a traditional Japanese monochrome, it is a technique that I use in all my creations.

And that's what really excites me about this artisan technique, that you never know what you're going to find. One day the ink comes out thicker than others. The day you are nervous, it is better not to grind ink, since it is a perishable ink and must be prepared at the time of use and cannot be stored, that requires a state of total calm as a preliminary preparation. The paper always has a different plot since I like to experiment with new textures constantly.
