Lucia Reverditto

Hello, my name is Lucia. I moved to Australia 13 years ago, carrying with me a lifelong appreciation for creativity, craftsmanship, and meaningful spaces. I originally trained in Hospitality and Tourism in my hometown of Lima, Peru, and spent many years working in the restaurant industry—an experience that shaped my attention to detail, rhythm, and the way people interact with spaces.

Before leaving Peru, I studied Interior Design for one year at the Toulouse Lautrec Institute, where I discovered a deep and lasting love for design. Although I later completed several design-related certificates in Australia, I did not have the opportunity to work professionally in the field at that time.

Over the years, my creativity naturally found its way outdoors. Gardening became both a passion and a grounding practice, leading me to become actively involved in my local community garden. Through this experience, I learned the value of shared green spaces—how gardens can bring people together, support wellbeing, and create a sense of belonging. Helping my community nurture and grow these spaces sparked a deeper desire to understand landscapes not just aesthetically, but ecologically and socially.

Last year, I formalised this interest by studying floristry, reconnecting with texture, seasonality, and plant behaviour. This year, I am continuing my journey through horticulture studies, strengthening my technical knowledge and understanding of living systems.

I am now designing my own home and feel a strong calling to integrate interior design, horticulture, and landscape design into cohesive, thoughtful environments. My passion for creating gardens comes from a desire to shape spaces that are alive, functional, and deeply connected to nature. This course represents an important step in refining my skills and grounding my creative instincts in professional landscape design principles.
